Investing in Our Voice: The 2026 Afrik Digest Community Campaign
For years, Afrik Digest has served as an essential institutional bridge for the African diaspora—a trusted, independent newsroom dedicated to illuminating our vibrant cultural heritage, amplifying grassroots voices, and delivering in-depth journalism on the issues that matter most. From investigative reporting and policy analysis to celebrating trailblazing entrepreneurs, we remain steadfast in our commitment to telling our stories with rigor, nuance, and pride.
Independent, high-caliber journalism requires dedicated resources. Yet, we firmly believe that access to accurate, culturally competent news should never be gated behind a paywall. To maintain our editorial independence and ensure our coverage remains completely free and accessible to all, we are proud to launch our 2026 Year-End Community Fundraiser as part of the statewide #newsCOneeds campaign, hosted on the Colorado Gives Organization platform.
Today, we invite you to stand with us and invest directly in the future of local, community-centered journalism.
Our Objective: $15,000 by December 31
Our 2026 year-end fundraising strategy is designed to directly expand our newsroom’s operational capacity, enabling us to better serve Colorado’s African, immigrant, and multicultural communities.
Participating in the Colorado Media Project (CMP)–sponsored #newsCOneeds initiative provides the collaborative momentum and statewide visibility necessary to reach our $15,000 goal by December 31. Every dollar contributed goes directly to:
- Sustaining Field Reporting: Supporting local, independent journalists who report from the ground up.
- Expanding Cultural & Investigative Coverage: Funding long-form features, investigative series, and multimedia projects.
- Community Advocacy: Ensuring our diaspora’s contributions and challenges receive the prominent coverage they deserve.
2026 Impact at a Glance
