Afrik Digest is delighted to announce its media partnership and upcoming spotlight on Praise on the Rockies, a landmark multi‑ethnic worship gathering scheduled for November 22, 2026. Inspired by the timeless call of Psalm 67: “Let all the peoples praise you”, this celebration promises an unforgettable evening of worship, cultural beauty, and joyful unity across nations, languages, and traditions.
Recently, our editorial team sat down with Pastor Vincent Omegba, Senior Pastor of RCCG Dayspring Center Aurora and founder of the Denver‑based nonprofit Hope Hall, one of the initiative’s core visionaries. He painted a vivid picture of a gathering designed from the ground up to break the mold. He also revealed that the organizers and supporters of this initiative are from different churches and christian organizations in Colorado.
A Global Festival of Faith
Praise on the Rockies is being shaped as a multi‑ethnic worship‑as‑gratitude session, intentionally slated to coincide with the Thanksgiving season, a time when reflection and thankfulness naturally fill the air.
Organizers describe the event with a joyful seriousness that is deeply infectious. Picture an atmosphere where attendees from Asia, Latin America, South America, Europe and Africa arrive in resplendent national dress, each cultural group bringing its own flavor, sound, and artistic heritage — all anchored in one shared purpose.
“This is for God, and for the diversity in our city,” the organizers noted. “We want every group to feel seen, heard, and celebrated. Let every nation bring its own beauty into the room.” The worship teams and attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their traditional clothes and costumes reflecting their rich heritage.
What stands out most is that Praise on the Rockies is not built for performance but for presence. Organizers are taking thoughtful steps to ensure accessibility, including on‑screen subtitles so that even when the language shifts, the spirit and meaning of the worship remain clear.
As the organizers emphasized, “We want people to understand the songs, even when they don’t know the language.”

Bridging Communities Through Song
During our conversation, we explored the nuanced challenge of weaving multiple cultural expressions together without losing the room’s energy. How do you honor diverse musical styles while maintaining a seamless flow? The answer lies in the universal language of melody.
Music crosses borders faster than explanation ever could. A Spanish rhythm can make you sway; a Chinese melody can draw you in; a worship chorus in another tongue can still lift your heart if the spirit behind it is alive.
Beyond the stage lies a deeper community message. The organizers made it clear that this initiative is ultimately about transforming how neighbors view one another — building familiarity, fostering cross‑cultural understanding, and telling a better story about immigrant churches and communities that live side by side every day.
Pastor Vincent captured it powerfully:
“If the church does not impact the community, it has missed its calling. This event is more than music; it is about community. This is how we build bridges. By worshiping side by side, we are not erasing identity; we are celebrating it.”
Looking Ahead
Held for the second time last year, Praise on the Rockies is envisioned to grow into much more than a single‑night program. It stands as a living picture of Psalm 67— not just one people praising, but all peoples, side by side, offering their unique sounds to the same sacred song.
The organizers also plan to have food trucks selling different cultural cuisines on ground. In addition, incentives and gifts will be offered to attendees, especially those who register first.
Afrik Digest will continue to follow this inspiring celebration as it develops, bringing readers exclusive updates, profiles, and coverage leading up to November 22, 2026.
