Last Saturday, 8/17/24, I braved the scorching heat at the Aurora Global Fest! Emceeing on the One World stage was an incredible experience, even as the sun unleashed its fiery wrath. Last year, the sun was kind, but this year, it showed no mercy!

Despite the heat, the festival was a vibrant celebration of laughter, culture, and joy. I’m so proud to have been a part of it.

Every August, Aurora comes alive with the Global Fest, celebrating the city’s rich cultural diversity. Residents gather to experience the fun of “The World in A City.”

Held at the Aurora Municipal Center Great Lawn, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway, the event features vibrant musical and dance performances, delicious food from around the world, an international marketplace, and fun activities for all ages. Highlights include the Parade of Nations Fashion Show and the newly inaugurated Global Flavors.

This free, family-friendly event showcases the incredible diversity of our community. It’s a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate the many cultures that make Aurora unique.
